A regular student will typically take eight to fifteen credit hours of workload (for course work) each semester. At the end of the first semester, a student must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 to advance to the second semester. GP 2.30 is required to qualify for the course. If a student can get a GPA of 2.30 or higher but is less than 2.50, he/she will be promoted in the second semester on promotion. Candidates who fail to get a 2.30 GPA in the first semester will be automatically disqualified. At the end of the second semester, a student must have a minimum overall grade point average (CGPA) of 2.50 and pass at least 50% of the course to be promoted to the third semester.If a student does not meet any of the previous two conditions, he or she will be expelled from the University Rules. The dissertation/report will be submitted within six weeks of the end of the third or fourth semester (as the case may be).In case of the real reason, on the recommendation of the Supervisor, the DPC, DPCC Vice-Chancellor may extend the period for submission of dissertation/report/project for six months. The dissertation will be evaluated by an external examiner.The Board of Examiners for the examination of the dissertation will be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor through the DPC from the panel recommended by the concerned DPC. The assessment is usually completed within six weeks of submitting the dissertation. Only those students who get CGPA 2.5 in M.Phil. Degrees The marks given in each subject will be divided along the following lines.
